The owners of a popular roadside milk shop have released CCTV images showing a person allegedly stealing an honesty box from the establishment late last night (Thursday).

Cameras have captured the moment the hooded individual entered Cowes Milk, located on the main road between Newport and Cowes, at 22:42.

Once inside the 24-hour pitstop, the individual is alleged to have taken an honesty box used to collect monies for eggs. The theft took a matter of seconds.

It’s said that the perpetrator walked to the shop from the Newport direction.

Cowes Milk say that the shed will be staying cashless from now on and are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

Where have all the scum suddenly appeared from day after day we read the same news. Are they sent from other councils for rehousing or are the new generation of parents unable to control their ferral kids.

I honestly think the Council should be answering this question. Why are we importing so many low-lifes rejected by other Councils? Is it simply down to the cash handed out by the government to take them and, if it is, is that cash worth all the hassle and problems these people bring with them? Personally, I would say no, it’s not worth it.

I know this person may not have been someone who moved here in the past 3 or 4 years but the question is still a valid one, why are we bringing these people here?

Human rights got in the way. If teachers, police, doorman, and parents were still allowed to give people a firm slap you would see less issues like this. There are no consequences even if you get caught stealing.

No police. Makes this wave of lawlessness easy to get away with. There have been a group of kids riding their bikes on the pavement near weeks road, long meed road and woodland view ryde. They ride on the pavement in woodland view where a lot of retired people live. Also along the dirt road by pig peg lane where a lot of dog walkers go and horses ride. They are putting peoples lives at risk. Many residents of all three roads have reported them to the police. Nothing has happened. One of the bikes I have the number plate is not taxed.

I don’t think anyone can say whether it is Islander’s or “ovener’s” causing all the issues on the Island if anything it is media and technology along with the horrendous new films and TV series just depicting murder, crime etc. along with some of the new degrading/belittling TV series. There just seems to be a very high level of disrespect for everyone including their property. Everything on media seems to need a “shock” aspect lately.
